This seminar brings together artists, producers, and cultural leaders from the Nordic region and beyond to share creative strategies, joys, and challenges from slow touring, long-term collaboration, and artist-led infrastructures that extend the lifespan and reach of dance performances.

Through a series of focused sessions and conversations, we will explore:

• Sustainable International Touring
  Best practices for inclusive and environmentally conscious touring — with examples of how artists and producers build stronger connections with local communities on the road.
• Local Engagement and Artist-Led Platforms
  How artists sustain meaningful work in their home communities, build networks of care, and develop platforms that support artistic autonomy and long-term cultural impact.
• Touring Across Regions and Borders — from Sápmi to the World
  Strategies for touring and community work emerging from sparsely populated or remote regions, and how Indigenous and local perspectives can reshape the future of touring.

The panel invites reflection on how artistic mobility can align with sustainability, accessibility, and deeper cultural exchange — moving from fast circuits to more rooted, responsible ways of sharing dance.
